Mission Plan
The General Assembly has asked for all PCI Churches to put in
place a Mission Plan. Our response has less been about producing a
document to be put into storage but rather engaging in a spiritual
stock taking exercise. We have prayerfully, openly and
enthusiastically considered where, as a Church, we have come from,
where we now are and where we ought to be. It has been the
initiation of a process that does not finish with the publishing
of this document.
Our efforts were structured under the following headings:- Why?
What is God's mission for the world? How willing are we
to engage in Mission. - Who?
Understanding of our own congregation - its beginning,
where we are currently, what are our strengths and
weaknesses. - Where?
The story of our community - the people, their needs and
issues. - What?
Having considered the previous points what is our
practical response to the call to Mission? What do we feel
called to do? - When?
Identifying a timeline for the mission activities that we
intend to do.
